Partners
The Innovate UK ICURe programme has been delivered in the UK since 2013. The programme is delivered throughout the UK by our four Delivery Partners; Midlands Innovation, NxNW Partners, SETsquared Partnership, and The Helix Way. The programme was originally delivered by SETsquared Partnership, led by the University of Southampton. In 2017 three additional Delivery Partners were selected to roll out ICURe as a national programme; Midlands ICURe, led by Warwick University, and NxNW Partners, led by Queens University Belfast and The Helix Way.
In total over 450 project teams have been on the ICURe journey, spanning over 40 cohorts.

The ICURe programme is delivered as a national programme in the UK by our four Delivery Partners.
Midlands Innovation is a collaboration between eight research intensive universities in the Midlands: Aston, Birmingham, Cranfield, Keele, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Warwick. They aim to drive cutting-edge research, innovation and skills development to grow the high-tech, high-skilled economy of the Midlands and UK.
NxNW Partners is a consortium of seven Universities formed in 2018 to help accelerate the commercialisation of University research in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The consortium is led by The Queens University of Belfast and is an expanding community of innovators, business advisers, entrepreneurs and investors. Universities within the consortium also include Ulster University, Manchester University, Lancaster University, University of Liverpool, The University of Edinburgh, The University of Sheffield and University of Leeds.
SETsquared Partnership is an enterprise partnership and collaboration between six leading research-led UK universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. Ranked as the Global No. 1 Business Incubator, they provide a wide range of highly acclaimed support programmes to help turn ideas into thriving businesses.
The Helix Way is the exciting joint venture between Brilliant Red Ltd, Helix Innovation Partnerships Ltd and QUBIS, the commercial arm of Queen’s University, Belfast. They support academics and established businesses to commercialise their research, technology and product ideas through a range of pre-accelerator and innovation programmes.
